76% of podiatrists experience work-related musculoskeletal pain during their career.
That's the finding of an international study published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Research, surveying nearly 1,000 podiatrists across Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
The most affected area? The lower back, reported by 29% of respondents as the location of their most significant injury. And the risk is highest in the first five years of practice.
The cause is no surprise to anyone in the field: podiatrists work in sustained, awkward postures, leaning forward, bending, twisting, for hours on end. Day after day.
This is exactly the problem Orthostand was designed to solve.
Orthostand is an ergonomic chair developed specifically for foot care professionals. It supports a neutral working posture, reduces physical strain on the back and neck, and helps podiatrists build a long, healthy career, without paying for it with their body.
Your patients depend on you. That only works if you take care of yourself too.
